More than a talking PNG
A PNGTuber is a creator who appears on screen as a 2D PNG character that reacts to their voice instead of a webcam. PNGTuber Plus takes that idea further: import your PNG artwork, arrange it as individual sprites, and control how each part behaves - hair sways, accessories trail, eyes blink and mouths react to speech.
Start streaming without rigging
Assemble a complete avatar from ordinary transparent PNG files. No bones, meshes, face tracking or modeling workflow - ideal for a first-time streamer moving beyond a static image.
Give existing PNGTubers more personality
Already using a speaking and a silent image? Add secondary motion, layered expressions, physics, animated sprites, costumes and per-sprite visibility so the character feels deliberate, not like a two-frame switch.
Turn your artwork into a usable avatar
Prepare a character as separate PNG layers and assemble it inside the app. Artists can build avatars for clients, save finished setups and share the configured avatar files.
Everything you need to build a lively 2D avatar
Start simple with a few images, then add only the movement and reactions your character needs. Complexity stays optional - the same app supports a minimal reactive portrait or a richly layered animated model.
Use any PNG artwork
Add character art, faces, clothing, props, effects or mascots as separate PNG sprites. Each one can be positioned, scaled, rotated, layered and replaced independently.
Animate with sprite sheets
Import sprite sheets to add frame-based animation to individual parts - animated eyes, glowing effects, moving backgrounds, tails, flames or screens.
Natural idle movement
Sine-wave movement creates continuous motion without keyframes: breathing, hovering, floating accessories, swaying hair or pulsing effects, adjustable per sprite.
Bounce and jiggle
Apply responsive, elastic movement to hair, ears, sleeves, jewelry, wings or tails so a layered character feels alive even when the body is mostly still.
Positional & rotational drag
Let sprites trail behind movement by position, rotation or both, adding weight and follow-through to long hair, loose clothing and hanging objects.
Attach sprites to sprites
Build connected groups with parent-child relationships - a hat follows the head, an accessory follows an arm - so complex avatars stay organized.
React to speaking & blinking
Show or hide sprites based on speaking and blinking states. Use separate mouths, closed eyes, alternate expressions or full pose variations driven by your microphone.
Costume & expression hotkeys
Prepare alternate outfits, poses, props and moods, then trigger them mid-stream. Individual sprites can also get their own visibility-toggle hotkeys.
Replace artwork anytime
Swap the image used by a sprite while keeping the rest of the avatar intact, so you can revise art, test alternatives or spin off new variations.

Designed for live content
PNGTuber Plus fits into streaming and recording workflows without a face-tracking camera or a heavy 3D environment. Your mic drives speaking, and hotkeys handle everything else.
Twitch & YouTube streams
An expressive on-screen identity for live gaming, just chatting and IRL-style content - without showing your face.
Gaming & commentary
Mic-reactive speaking and blinking keep your avatar present while your hands stay on the controls.
Video essays & recordings
Add a reactive character to recorded videos, tutorials and presentations, then capture it cleanly in your editor.
Podcasts & voice shows
Give a voice-led show a face. The avatar follows your microphone, no camera required.
Art streams
Build a stylized self-portrait or mascot that matches your art, with costumes and effects you control by hotkey.
Reactive mascots & companions
Run a brand mascot or stream companion that reacts and changes costumes alongside you.
Roleplay & narrative content
Switch expressions, poses and outfits on the fly for character-driven storytelling and collabs.
Commissioned PNGTuber models
Artists can build, save and hand off complete avatar files to clients as a ready-to-use product.
Stream-ready with OBS
Capture PNGTuber Plus in OBS as part of a larger scene using either a transparent background or a green-screen workflow.
Transparent background
Use a transparent background when your capture method supports it, so the avatar sits directly over gameplay, video or other scene elements.
Green-screen workflow
Set a solid chroma-key color, capture the PNGTuber Plus window, and remove the background with an OBS chroma-key filter. Pick a color that does not appear in your artwork.
Scene setup in OBS
- Open the finished avatar in PNGTuber Plus.
- Select the correct microphone input and confirm speaking and silent states respond.
- Choose a transparent or solid chroma-key background.
- Add PNGTuber Plus to your OBS scene with the appropriate capture source.
- Crop unneeded interface areas and apply a chroma-key filter for green-screen capture.
- Position the avatar, then test your costume and visibility hotkeys before going live.
How PNGTuber Plus works
Five steps from finished artwork to a stream-ready avatar. Subtle settings usually read best; stronger values suit intentionally exaggerated, cartoon-like characters.
Prepare the character art
Export the character as transparent PNG files. Separate any element that should move, react, disappear or change on its own.
Import & arrange the sprites
Add each PNG, set its position, scale, rotation and layer order, and attach related parts so they move together.
Configure reactions & motion
Choose which sprites show while speaking or blinking, then add sine-wave motion, bounce, jiggle, drag or sprite-sheet animation.
Create costumes & toggles
Group alternate sprites into expressions, outfits and effects, and assign hotkeys to the changes you want during a stream.
Save & test
Save the avatar, then test microphone response, blinking, hotkeys and capture inside your full OBS scene before going live.
New to the app? Read the official tutorial to get started with PNGTuber Plus (it is a little outdated but still works fine - you just need to press CONTROL + L to save the avatar image files).
System requirements
PNGTuber Plus is lightweight. A computer that already handles a normal streaming setup will have plenty of headroom, though large avatars with many animated sprites can use more.
